Partnership work helps struggling families enjoy ChristmasPosted by donna, 7th January, 2022
Bournville Village Trust in Telford recently joined forces with Telford Crisis Support to make sure ten struggling families could enjoy Christmas.
We were invited to nominate families in financial need and just before Christmas, our staff delivered special parcels which included everything to enjoy a lovely Christmas dinner, treats for the day and, thanks to local schools and businesses, presents for children to open on Christmas morning.
Ella Atkinson, Housing Officer at Bournville Village Trust, said: “There are so many people that have struggled financially in the last couple of years, so to be able to make such a difference to ten families meant a lot to us. Joining forces with Telford Crisis Support shows the difference organisations can make to families by working together.”
All of the families were overwhelmed with the support they received with one resident sharing: “Thanks so much, we really appreciate you collecting the hamper. Thanks so, so much, you’re our guardian angel”.
